The Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family (GTC) organized two workshops at Talitha Kumi School to equip teachers with the necessary tools to understand and address the psychological and social challenges that children may face in their early developmental stages effectively.<\/p>\n

The first workshop, titled “Understanding Psychological, Emotional, Social, Behavioral, and Language Issues and Their Impact on Children’s Academic Performance,” was conducted by psychologist Natalie Banoura and speech and hearing specialist Razan Al-Araj. The second workshop, titled “Enhancing Teachers\u2019 Skills in Early Detection of Sensory and Learning Difficulties in Preschool and Primary School Children,” was led by social worker Rania Zahdeh and occupational therapist Hazar Al-Shami.<\/p>\n

Both workshops targeted children aged 5 to 8 and included constructive discussions and questions that helped raise teachers’ awareness of identifying and addressing psychological, behavioral, and learning difficulties using scientific and professional methods. These sessions also provided a valuable opportunity for teachers to gain insights that enable them to create a more supportive and effective educational environment for children during these critical early stages.<\/p>\n
