During the visit, the delegation met with Ms. Shireen Al-Mafi, Director of the Association, and Ms. Maha Za’atra, Social Worker, to discuss the development of a standardized assessment tool that would help evaluate children’s psychological, social, and educational dimensions. The discussion focused on designing a comprehensive assessment tool that would enable caregivers to accurately identify each child’s individual needs, thereby enhancing the quality of interventions and services provided. Additionally, the meeting addressed the challenges institutions face in implementing standardized assessment tools and emphasized the importance of harmonizing standards across different entities working in the field of alternative care. Establishing unified assessment criteria ensures more effective and precise responses to the needs of children and youth.

This visit is part of a broader vision aimed at strengthening collaboration between relevant institutions and developing innovative assessment methodologies.
