The Guidance and Training Center (GTC) is a non-profit community mental health center, founded in 1994, based in Bethlehem. GTC’s mission is to provide preventive and therapeutic services in the area of mental health, especially for the child and family, and generally for the local community, and to pursue the development of knowledge, skills, and experiences of workers in this field and conduct research through programs that meet the needs of the target groups. The GTC is looking to recruit a “Clinical Psychologist-Manager” according to the following requirements:

Contract Type: Project – full time or part time

Contract Duration: One Year- Renewable

Location: Bethlehem

Responsibilities

-        Supervising the work progress of the professional staff in the center and making professional decisions.

-        Supporting the work of projects in the center by contributing to the development of - projects and providing the necessary consultations to ensure the quality of the services provided.

-         Developing ideas to build projects that are compatible with the center’s vision and the needs of the local community.

-        Representing the center in general meetings and/or specialized conferences in order to improve the performance and professionalism of the center’s specialists.

-        Curiosity and research-oriented approach.

-        Training and/or planning and/or supervising training programs and/or courses to develop and/or improve professional, behavioral and/or functional performance related to the field of mental health services for specialists.

Skills and qualifications required:

-        P.H.D or Minimum M.A in Clinical Psychology.

-        Al least 3 years of proven experience in Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, counseling and psychological assessment.

-        Proven practice under supervision (no less than 3 years). 

-        Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

-        Excellent Communication skills.

-        Capability to work under pressure.

-        Excellent command in Arabic and English both written and spoken.

-        Applicant age does not exceed 50 years.

-        A valid profession practice certificate from the competent authorities in Palestine.
