Job Vacancy: Public Relations – Fund Raising

The Guidance and Training Center (GTC) is a non-profit community mental health center based in Bethlehem and founded in 1994. GTC’s mission is to Provide preventive and therapeutic services in the area of mental health, especially for the child and family, and generally for the local community, and to pursue the development of knowledge, skills, and experiences of workers in this field and conducting research through programs that meet the needs of the target groups in the best professional and scientific way possible, aiming to participate in the development of mental health in the Palestinian society. The GTC is looking to recruit a Public Relations – Fund Raising according to the following requirements:
Contract type: Full time – Part time
Contract duration: one year- renewable
Public Relations – Fund Raising Main Responsibilities Include:
▪ Contribute to planning, development, and implementation of GTC’s communications and advocacy work.
▪ Coordinate communication with media, including developing media contact list, press release writing, and interviews coordination.
▪ Coordinate the production of media and printed publications.
▪ Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build and maintain positive relationships with the public, media.
▪ Monitor media coverage and track public opinions and perceptions of the organization.
▪ Cultivate and maintain relationships with Influencers, bloggers, and other media representatives to ensure positive coverage and accurate representation.
▪ Identify opportunities for fundraising and provide support in proposal writing.
▪ Support Management and technical team in reporting.
▪ Lead engagement plans with potential donors, organize, and execute outreach efforts, including arranging meetings, presentations, and events to introduce the organization, its programs, and funding needs for potential donors.
▪ Research and compile a comprehensive list of potential donors relevant to the organization's mission and projects.
▪ Develop and maintain a structured database containing detailed information on potential donors, including contact details, funding priorities, and historical giving patterns.
▪ Regularly review and identify potential funding opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and priorities, facilitate go/no-go decisions based on program priorities and profiles.
▪ Create a proposal calendar outlining deadlines, milestones, and responsibilities to ensure timely submission.
▪ Collaborate closely with the Finance teams for budgeting and reporting and with NGOs to prepare competitive proposal budgets in established formats meeting donor requirements. Skills and qualifications required: ▪ B.A. in Business Marketing, Public Relations or other related disciplines. ▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. ▪ At least 3 years’ experience in a related field. ▪ Proficient in media management. ▪ Previous related experience with NGOs working in Palestine. ▪ Capability to work independently and within a team. ▪ Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and multimedia software tools. ▪ Strong ethical and professional standards in fundraising. ▪ Strong research and analytical skills for identifying funding opportunities.
