In a moment that was beyond just a meeting… It was a spark of hope, and a message of life. Today, Tuesday 15/4/2025, we had an appointment with Mrs. Layla Khaddash in an awareness session for female students of the Internship Program – Applied Psychology at the Guidance and Training Center for the child and family – Bethlehem, where the attendees transformed from mere listeners to witnesses of a story that speaks to the soul, and awakens in us all the deep meanings of strength, challenge, and faith in life. In an atmosphere of sincerity and humanity, the spotlight was placed on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, as a survival tool and key to the door of healing. And the reminder was that self-examination, despite its simplicity, is capable of making a difference in the life of a woman, a home, and an entire family. And as was discussed about positive self-dialogue, that inner voice capable of lifting us from the depths of suffering to the pinnacle of psychological acceptance, and about the importance of being our own support, and about how a kind word and support from others can be a complementary treatment no less important than any medicine. The stages of shock were contemplated; moments of denial, fear, anger, bargaining, sadness and depression and then acceptance and reaching self-reconciliation, that inner peace which cannot be bought or taught, but is made from within us when we decide to take back the reins of our lives and draw new goals that give us a reason to continue, to love, and to live in every sense of the word. It was not just an awareness session Rather, it was a new pulse and a clear message that challenges do not mean the end, but may be the beginning of a story of glory written with determination, perseverance, and invincible strength.
