Internship

The GTC Applied Psychology Internship Programme offers eligible Social Sciences graduates the opportunity to gain experience in clinical and educational psychology practice.  The Program consists of theoretical lectures and practicing days at the GTC’s clinic and in schools, under individual and group supervision settings. In addition to a monthly pocket money wage offered to trainees.

The internship program is built through a collaboration between professionals from the Guidance and Training Center Society for the Child and Family, NHS Scotland, and the University of Glasgow Scotland.

The Internship Program offers:

  • Theoretical training on up-to-date theories in clinical and educational psychology.
  • Training on interventions and individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Intensive supervision throughout the year by clinical and educational psychologists.

The Internship Program aims at:

  • Providing the trainee with values ​​and professional ethics.
  • Improving the theoretical background and to acquiring direct practical experiences.
  • Providing the trainee with professional and field experiences.
