Academic intervention targets children who have difficulties with reading, writing, comprehension, and organizational skills, in addition to those who experience test anxiety or any academic-related issues. The specialist works individually with the child while maintaining continuous communication with the family and school staff. The specialist also conducts follow-ups and school visits as needed, aiming to assess the child’s situation and collaborate with the school to help the child overcome challenges. This involves providing the school with a comprehensive understanding of the child’s condition and developing a parallel plan between the specialist and the school. Recommendations are shared to facilitate the child’s learning process. The duration of the academic intervention varies for each child based on factors such as the nature of the condition, diagnosis, the child’s response to the plan, and the collaboration between parents and the school.
