As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of alternative care for children, a delegation from the Guidance and Training Center for The Child and Family- Bethlehem visited Dar Al-Yateem Al-Islamia Industrial- Al-Ezareyeh on Monday, March 10, 2025, as part of Kindermissionswerk project activities, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development. The visit aimed to evaluate the services provided at the care home and discuss ways to improve them to ensure a safe and sustainable environment for children and youth, contributing to enhancing their educational and professional opportunities. During the visit, the delegation met with the General Director Mr. Nidal Al-Jabari and Social Worker and head of residential supervision Mr. Wissam Hantash, where they reviewed efforts to develop a standardized assessment tool focused on the development of life skills for children. The attendees also discussed ways of mutual cooperation between organizations working in the field of alternative care, exchanging experiences to ensure the best practices in providing psychological and social support for children. Furthermore, the possibility of developing a comprehensive assessment tool that helps measure various psychological, social, and educational aspects of children was discussed, allowing caregivers to more effectively meet their needs. This visit is part of an integrated vision aimed at empowering children and youth to build a more stable and independent future.
It is part of a series of meetings designed to strengthen collaboration between the relevant institutions and ensure the sustainability of the services provided to children and youth in alternative care institutions, based on a shared commitment to improving quality of life and providing a more supportive and empowering environment for them.
