Rooted in a deep belief in the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for children, a delegation from the Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family- Bethlehem visited Generation Of Hope Bethany- Al-Eizariya on Monday, March 10, 2025. The visit took place as part of the Kindermissionswerk project and in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development. This visit was particularly significant, as it went beyond merely assessing the services provided to children. It also sought to understand the daily challenges they face and explore effective support strategies that ensure a more stable and nurturing environment for them. During the meeting, the delegation met with the social worker and the institution’s director, Mr. Jevara Zaaraneh, to discuss the development of more comprehensive assessment tools. These tools would enable caregivers to gain a deeper understanding of children’s psychological, social, and educational needs, enabling them to respond more effectively to each child’s needs. The discussion also focused on developing life skills for children and youth, not only as part of care programs but as a fundamental approach to foster their independence and future capabilities. The visit also included discussions on strengthening collaboration among institutions working in the alternative care sector. Participants exchanged ideas on best practices for providing psychological and social support to children and explored new rehabilitation programs that could make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and youth within the institution.
This visit is part of a comprehensive vision aimed at enhancing the quality of services provided to children in alternative care institutions, based on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to build their future with hope and confidence.
