A delegation from the Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family- Bethlehem, represented by the clinical director Ms. Merna Jarayseh and Psychologist Dr. Razan Qarran, conducted a field visit to the Arab Women’s Union Society in Nablus on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. They were welcomed by the President of the Society, Ms. Ahoud Yaish Qandilou, along with several board members, the General Director of the Society, Dr. Izzat Rayan, the Acting Director of the Orphan Girls’ Center, Mr. Majd Hanoun, in addition to representatives from the Ministry of Social Development; Ms. Samar Othman, Ms. Nour Al-Shendi, and Ms. Noujoud Khreiyoush. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise between both parties, discuss training programs, and explore ways to develop services provided to children and adolescents. The discussions also addressed mechanisms for enhancing programs and services in shelter centers and care homes, emphasizing the importance of unifying efforts to ensure the continuity of support and the achievement of shared goals. The discussion focused on developing a standardized assessment tool to measure the psychological, social, and educational needs of children and adolescents, with the aim of improving the quality of care provided to them. They also covered how to design a comprehensive assessment tool that allows caregivers to accurately assess children’s needs, contributing to more effective services and identifying appropriate interventions.
