As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and exchange expertise among civil society organizations, a delegation from the Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family- Bethlehem, represented by the clinical director Ms. Mirna Jarayseh and Psychologist Dr. Razan Qarran, conducted a field visit to the Child Care and Mother Guidance Association in Nablus on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Amina Al-Barq, a board member and psychologist, along with board members Ms. Khetam Al-Jawhari and Ms. Sereen Taher, as well as Ms. Fatima Faydi, a supervisor and social counselor. Also attending the meeting were Ms. Samar Othman and Ms. Nujoud Khreiyosh from the Ministry of Social Development. The visit aimed to exchange insights on ways to enhance and improve the quality of services provided to children and adolescents in various care centers and to develop training programs that enhance the skills of caregivers. Discussions focused on strategies to enhance and improve the mechanisms of programs and services offered in shelters and care homes, emphasizing the importance of joint coordination to ensure continuous support and achieve the desired objectives. Key discussions centered on the importance of developing a standardized assessment tool to measure the psychological, social, and educational needs of children and adolescents, with the goal of improving the quality of care and programs provided to them. The discussion also explored the design of a comprehensive assessment tool that would enable caregivers to accurately identify children’s needs, contributing to the delivery of more effective and tailored intervention services.
