As part of strengthening institutional partnerships and enhancing child support mechanisms, a delegation from the Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family – Bethlehem visited the Child Protection Center – Ramallah/Al-Bireh on Thursday, March 19, 2025. The delegation consisted of Dr. Razan Qaraan, Psychologist, Mr. Ghaleb Ghattas, Administrative and Financial Manager, and Ms. Mirna Jaraiseh, Clinical Director. They were welcomed by Ms. May AL-Sarfandi, Director of the Child Protection Center. Mr. Youssef and Ms. Bayan, psychologists. Mr. Eyad, the social worker. And Ms. Malak, the deputy director. The purpose of the visit was to discuss ways to improve the services provided to children and enhance cooperation in the fields of psychological, social, and educational care. Discussions centered on the importance of empowering caregivers through specialized training programs to improve the quality of psychological and social support for children. The delegation also discussed the development of a comprehensive assessment tool designed to understand and analyze the psychological, social, and educational needs of children, ensuring more accurate and sustainable interventions, and enhancing their opportunities for integrated care that effectively meets their needs.
This visit reflects both sides’ commitment to unifying efforts toward developing more inclusive and sustainable care systems by adopting modern methodologies based on scientific assessments and effective interventions. The collaboration marks an important step in developing a safe and supportive environment for children, providing them with better opportunities for growth and development on both psychological and social levels.
