As part of the efforts of the Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family – Bethlehem to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise with institutions working in child care, a delegation from the GTC visited the Girls’ Care Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The delegation was represented by Mr. Ghaleb Ghattas, the Administrative and Financial Manager of the center, Nidaa Awad, Psychologist, Freeman Salameh, Psychologist, and Razan Al-Araj, Speech and Language Therapist. They were welcomed by the Director of the Girls’ Care Home, Sanaa Abu Laban, along with specialists Shireen Awad and Lara Al-Ma’awi. The visit aimed at exploring ways to improve and develop the services provided to the girls, focusing on discussing the latest training programs that aim to enhance the skills of caregivers. There was a significant exchange of ideas regarding the development of a comprehensive and reliable assessment tool to measure the psychological, social, and educational needs of the girls. The goal is to provide accurate data that helps improve the quality of interventions and ensures that the most suitable support is provided at every stage of their care.
This visit marks another important step toward fostering sustainable collaboration between institutions and developing a better environment for the care of girls, opening new opportunities for comprehensive and effective child welfare.
