As part of ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration and exchange expertise among institutions working in child care, a delegation from the Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family – Bethlehem, represented by psychologist Murad Al-Butmeh and psychologist Ruba Al-Tamimi, visited the Islamic Charitable Society in Hebron on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The delegation was welcomed by the General Director, Ayman Abu Omar, along with psychologist Munjed Al-Ja’fari. The visit aimed to explore ways to enhance services provided to children and adolescents by discussing the latest training programs designed to develop the professional skills of caregivers. The discussions focused on improving service mechanisms in residential care facilities, emphasizing the importance of continuous coordination among all relevant stakeholders to ensure sustainable support and achieve shared goals. A key topic of discussion was the development of a standardized assessment tool to measure the psychological, social, and educational needs of children and adolescents, as part of efforts to enhance the quality of care provided. The delegation also explored the design of a comprehensive evaluation tool that would enable caregivers to accurately and effectively identify children’s needs, thereby strengthening the ability of programs to provide precise and appropriate interventions.
This visit marks a significant step toward developing a roadmap for sustainable service development and creates new opportunities for cooperation between institutions focused on child welfare and the community.
