The project targets 17 residential centers. Approximately 32 participants attended the meeting, representing variousluding administrators, social workers, and psychologists, along with distinguished attendees from the Ministry of Social Development, whose cooperation and coordination played a pivotal role in the meeting’s success. We would like to express our gratitude to; The Directorate of Education and Ministry of Social Development in Ramallah for their continuous support and accompaniment. The Bethlehem Directorate of Social Development, represented by Director Saida Al-Atrash, as well as the Childhood and Juvenile Departments, for their active participation, which significantly contributed to the meeting’s success.
The meeting focused on discussing a new assessment tool designed to evaluate the psychological, social, behavioral, and developmental status of children in residential centers. This tool was developed to align with local needs within the Palestinian context. Specialists and field experts participated by providing valuable feedback to improve the form and ensure its effectiveness. This productive cooperation reflects the commitment of all parties to developing work mechanisms that achieve the best outcomes for children in care homes. The form will now undergo field testing, followed by a second meeting to make adjustments and refinements, ensuring enhanced service quality and sustainability. We are proud of our team and this strong partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and care centers. We firmly believe this joint effort will leave a positive and lasting impact on the lives of children and adolescents.
