The Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family, in collaboration with Oasis Center for Individuals with Disabilities, conducted a professional psychosocial support session designed to enhance maternal mental health and family wellbeing. Held on February 26, 2025, this clinical intervention provided evidence-based therapeutic support to mothers in the Bethlehem community. Licensed mental health professionals Ms. Dalia Nassar and Ms. Ruba Al-Tamimi facilitated the session, employing established clinical methodologies to create a safe, supportive environment for emotional processing and skill development. The intervention focused on building practical coping mechanisms, strengthening emotional regulation skills, and fostering peer support networks among participants. Post-session evaluations demonstrated measurable improvements in participants’ stress management capabilities and emotional awareness. These outcomes underscore the effectiveness of targeted psychosocial support in enhancing family resilience within the Palestinian context. This initiative represents the ongoing commitment of both organizations to addressing critical mental health needs through professional, clinically-informed interventions. By combining The Guidance and Training Center’s expertise in child and family welfare with Oasis Center’s specialized support services, the partnership continues to develop impactful programs that serve the community. Future collaborations will expand this successful model to additional districts while developing complementary training resources for local practitioners. Both institutions remain dedicated to creating sustainable support systems that empower Palestinian families and promote community mental health.
